Dr. Corrado Clini at the VIU for Lezioni d’Europa
Venice, Italy. February 8, 2010
On February 8, Dr. Corrado Clini, Director General of the Italian Ministry for the Environment Land and Sea, will be at the Venice International University on San Servolo Island in the framework of the Lezioni d’Europa series. Mr. Clini will lecture on “Climate Change”, addressing the current EU strategy for the development of a low carbon economy based on energy efficiency, and the relevant actions set so far.

The Advanced Training Program Opens Its 2010 Activities with a VIU_MEP Multilateral Environmental Agreements Training Course

After the successful 2009 edition, with 1344 Chinese delegates participating in the 29 courses of the Environmental Management and Sustainable Development Advanced Training Program, the Venice International University (VIU) kicked off the Program activities of 2010 with a course organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Environmental Protection of the People’s Republic of China (MEP).

Welcome the Delegation – VIU_CASS Waste Management Training Program
Italy. January 23 - February 6, 2010
For the Waste Management training course currently being held in Italy, VIU and CASS decided to design an agenda mostly devoted to site visits and case studies. The delegation will therefore have the chance to visit a landfill site, an hazardous waste incineration plant, integrated treatment plants for waste and water, and companies dealing with e-waste management and with separate collection and compostable plastics.
