Coming Up Next at VIU

Venice International University is very pleased to welcome the Ministry of Science and Technology of China (MOST) and the Ministry of Environmental Protection of China (MEP) delegations arriving in Venice in April, to participate in the following training courses: Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency, and Environmental Protection Supervision and Inspection training program.

The first delegation is represented by 28 participants selected by the Ministry of Science and Technology of China (MOST). The course agenda is focused on one of the most important globally faced problems: energy. There will be lectures and site visits organized which aim to present the following issues: sustainable energy systems, wind energy, energy from waste, renewable energy etc.

The second delegation arriving at the end of April will focus its attention on the supervision of the environment. The 25 trainees have been selected by the Ministry of Environmental Protection of China (MEP). The main topics of the course are: EU and Italy's environmental supervision and inspection system and resolution of transboundary environmental disputes, environmental laws, controls and penalties, voluntary environmental tools enforcements, firms and laws, heavy metal, POPs and chemicals regulations, law enforcement and public participation.
