EU Sustainable Energy Week: 23-27 June
23 May 2014

eusew2014The European Union Sustainable Energy Week (EUSEW) is an initiative launched in 2006 that brings together energy stakeholders and the general public to display best practices and build alliances in the field of energy efficiency and renewable energy, with the aim of helping Europe reach its energy goals.
During the week, which this year will run from 23 to 27 June, the winners of the Sustainable Energy Europe Award and the ManagEnergy Award will also be announced: the first recognizes and promotes outstanding projects in energy efficiency, renewable energy and clean transport, while the second one rewards the role and achievement of regional and local public authorities in addressing fuel poverty, implementing renewable energy projects or innovative financing schemes for sustainable energy actions.

Despite most of the activities being condensed in one week, the organization of Energy Days throughout the entire month of June is encouraged. An Energy Day is a non-profit event, project, exhibition or display that promotes the energy efficiency or the use of renewable energy sources, and it can be proposed by a variety of organizers such as local and regional public authorities, private companies, citizen groups and associations, NGOs, educational and research centres, etc.

To be up to date with all the activities planned or to find more information on how to get involved please check the official website.
