MIIT Joins the Sino-Italian Training Program

lanternaThe Ministry of Industry and Information Technology of the People's Republic of China (MIIT) has recently signed an Agreement with the Italian Ministry for the Environment, Land and Sea to join the Sino-Italian Advanced Training Program on Environmental Management and Sustainable Development. Venice International University is very glad to have a new Chinese partner in the Program that counts now 8 partner institutions of foremost importance.

MIIT great interest focuses on promoting Sustainable Development in Industry. In accordance to this, VIU designed two Training Courses on Industrial Energy Efficiency. They include an introductory session for 60 participants to be held in China in mid October, and a more specific one addressed to 40 participants that will join an Italian training course in December. The idea is to offer MIIT officials, experts and professionals coming from the industry sector theoretical tools and to show practical case studies on Italian and European experiences on environmental protection and on the industry energy efficiency sectors.

Established in March 2008, the Chinese Ministry of Industry and Information Technology (MIIT) is the State Agency of the People's Republic of China responsible, among others, of the development of the national industrial strategy, implementation of industrial policies, promotion of innovation and energy saving in the industrial sector, as well as of the of regulation and development of the production of electronic and information goods, software industry and the promotion of the national knowledge economy.
