In mid-January 2015 the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA) launched REsource, an online knowledge platform that will enable users to easily find detailed and accurate data on renewable energies worldwide. The platform contains country-specific data, allow the creation of customized charts and graphs, and helps comparing countries on metrics like renewable energy use and deployment. It also provides information on renewable energy market statistics, potentials, policies, finance, costs, benefits, innovations, education and other topics.

By providing access to a large amount of information and data in one centralized location, REsource aims to improve decision-making, increase awareness and investor confidence, and accelerate the overall deployment of renewable energy technologies worldwide.
