Coming Up Next at VIU

In June 2013 two courses will take place at VIU.

The "Eco-city" training course, addressed to a delegation selected by the Beijing and Shanghai Environmental Protection Bureaus, will be held from June 2 to 13. The focus of the course will be on the many aspects of sustainability defining an Eco-city and on the way to find useful indicators to clearly assess the required characteristics.

The second course, addressed to participants from the National Development and Reform Commission, is scheduled from June 16 to 27. The delegation will attend a course on "Capacity Building on Climate Change", an issue of constant concern. Lectures and visits will explore the policy and actions to mitigate the effects of climate change and the measures of adaptation applied in Italy and other countries. A big focus will be on energy production and use, and also tools such as the European Emission Trading Scheme will be discussed.
