The Sustainable Waste Management Summer School is co-organized by VIU and the International Waste Working Group and focuses on Sustainable Landfilling and Final Sink. The Summer School will be held at Venice International University on the Island of San Servolo in Venice, Italy on July 5-14, 2015.

The aim is to give an overview of the most recent and advanced technologies developed for the management of sustainable landfills. The course structure is problem-oriented and includes lectures, seminars, group work, site visits and social events. 

The Summer School is open to master students who have completed all of their required course work, PhD students and young researchers from any university and any discipline with an interest in waste management able to read and write fluently in English. Applicants familiar with these subjects and already working in private companies or public administrations are welcome.
