Etc Newsletter 11 now online!
26 February 2010
Focus on Contaminated Sites Western and developing countries are involved in different degrees in the problems related to contaminated sites, which are the focus of the recently released 11th issue of the Environmental Training Community Newsletter, now available online.

For centuries the most developed countries have been polluting sites with substances deriving from their industrial activities. Now they are developing strategies to recover and reuse contaminated areas.
Fast developing countries, such as China, recently started facing similar problems, and the experience so far gained by Western countries can significantly help them in finding solutions to this problem.
The NL11 contributors try to provide an overview on the current Italian and Chinese situation, presenting the best practices adopted and opening a dialogue between the two countries on such a crucial issue.
