Energy for Green Ports
21 January 2010
Venice, Italy. February 4 - 5, 2010 That good policies, green economy and renewable energies are key points in order to achieve Sustainable Development is a certainty. How to introduce them in the current management and government of city development knots such as ports, is still under discussion.

The ''Energy for Green Ports'' conference, which will be held in the Port Area of Venice on February 4 and 5, aims at discussing the crucial points related to such an issue.

The two days of debates and panel discussions will offer a precious opportunity to all stakeholders to brain storm on the currently debated matters: how can ports be main actors in the development and use of new and renewable energies, as well as key points of innovation and efficiency from an energetic point of view, thus reducing their negative impact on environment? Among other issues, the new technologies concerning renewable resources and their use, and the management and problems of the carbon cycle will be addressed, while the exhibition area will provide a meeting opportunity for many enterprises, and public and private associations in order to promote collaboration and networking.
