Climate After Copenaghen

San Giorgio Island, Venice, Italy. April 15, 2010 April in Venice will be an intensive working period for those interested in dealing with climate change issues.
Researchers, policy makers, experts from industry, finance and energy sectors will be brought together in two important events at the Fondazione Giorgio Cini in the beautiful setting of San Giorgio Island.

The first event will be the launch of the International Center for Climate Governance (ICCG), a joint project of Fondazione Eni Enrico Mattei (FEEM) and Fondazione Giorgio Cini. The Venetian offices of the Climate Policy Initiative (CPI) will be also officially inaugurated on the same occasion. The event, which will take place on April 15 in the morning, will be open to the public and will offer a meeting opportunity aiming to look back at the events in Copenhagen and look forward to their implications on international climate policies.
An international workshop on The Challenge of Financing Low-Carbon Growth, jointly organized by the CPI, FEEM and the ICCG will follow for invited participants only, from April 15 afternoon through April 16. The workshop will focus on the financing of climate policies, aiming in particular to provide a platform for finance, research and policy experts to start a concrete dialogue on how to align incentives between policies and investors in order to successfully support a low-carbon transition.
