Executive Session on Enhancing Food Security in an Era of Global Climate Change

Venice International University, San Servolo Island, Venice. June 6-9, 2010 The annual Executive Session on Grand Challenges of the Sustainability Transition, now at its 4th edition, is a joint undertaking of the Sustainability Science Program at Harvard University’s Center for International Development in cooperation with the TEN Center of Venice International University and the support of the Italian Ministry for the Environment, Land and Sea.

The goal of this executive session, which will be held at VIU on June 6-9, is to develop a strategic perspective that will help to assure that governments, businesses, and society at large get maximum value from new initiatives of the Consultative Group on International Agricultural Research (CGIAR) and other international research partnerships targeted on the food and climate nexus.

The steering committee organising the Workshop is co-chaired by Prof. William Clark, Director of the Sustainability Science Program and Professor of International Science, Public Policy and Human Development at Harvard University, and Ganesan Balachander, Science Task Force Leader for the Consortium Board of CGIAR.
