30 November 1999
Solid Waste Management, March 21-April 4 2009 Venice International University and Beijing Municipal Environmental Protection Bureau start the fifth year of their collaboration with a training course devoted to Solid Waste Management, which opens today in Rome.

The first part of the course involves experts from the Ministry for the Environment, Land and Sea, who present Italian local laws, regulations, strategies and technical guidelines useful to introduce trainees to the Italian context.
A core of site visits will follow in order to allow participants to personally experience the management of different kinds of waste: polyethylene waste, urban waste, industrial waste water, urban and industrial hazardous waste.
Lectures on hospital waste and e-waste management, and more general issues such as waste and health, brownfield remediation, waste collection and recycling, will complete this overview.

For full details, please see the agenda of the course."
