Following the success of its first edition held in The New Forest, UK, in 2007, the second ''Energy and Sustainability'' international conference will be held in Bologna, Italy from June 23 to 25. The event is jointly organised by the Wessex Institute of Technology, UK, and the University of New Mexico, USA. The conference will examine the link between the increasing energy needs of modern society and the requirements of sustainability: a sustainable energy production, able to preserve natural resources, is in fact considered vital for long term development. The aim of the event will be to bring together researchers and practitioners from academia, industry and government interested in current developments in energy systems, and the program will include topics related to Sustainability in Energy Production, Energy Storage and Distribution, and Energy Management.
