VIU-CASS "Water Pollution Prevention and Control" Advanced Training Course

Italy, May 9-23 A group of 41 professors, engineers and deputy directors selected by the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences will begin a "Water Pollution Prevention and Control" training in Rome on Monday, May 9. Here they will be introduced to the Italian policies on water pollution control. They will then stop in Siena for an overview about European laws and case studies on water protection.

The lectures and site visits in Venice and Turin will focus on water basins, urban and industrial waste water treatment, economics of water and health issues related to water pollution. The course will close on Saturday, May 23 in Turin.

The forthcoming course will officially close the 2008-2009 teaching program organized by Venice International University with the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. The 2009-2010 activities will start in China next October."
