10th Edition of the SICP Advanced Training Program

10edOn October 15, the 10th edition of the Sino-Italian Advanced Training Program on Environmental Management and Sustainable Development opened in Beijing.

The Training Program has been carried out since October 2003 when the Program was launched in China by Minister Corrado Clini, as part of the Sino-Italian Cooperation Program for Environmental Protection (SICP) of the Italian Ministry for the Environment, Land and Sea. The Training Program is considered a key project within the SICP: it involves today 7 prominent Chinese institutions and has trained more than 8700 Chinese policy makers in over 200 training courses in Italy and China.

Prof. Jin Bei and prof. Li Ping of CASS attended the 10th Edition Opening Ceremony with prof. I. Musu (VIU), prof. M.L. Gullino (Agroinnova) and dr. A. Celestino (IMELS). Prof. Li Ping, first trainee of the first Venice training session in November 2003 is today Director of the Institute of Quantitative Economics of CASS.

The 10th edition celebration in China also included a Training with MOST on Scientific Parks, and two local trainings on Low Carbon Cities with the Municipalities of Beijing and Shanghai. It is actually the 1st edition of a local training with the BMEPB.
