The fall season of the VIU TEN Center is always particularly rich and this October will feature four advanced training courses here in Italy and three in China.

The first delegation arriving in Rome for a two-week Italian training will come from the Environmental Protection Bureau of the Beijing Municipality and will attend a course on the topic of "Environmental Information Management and Application". This is the first VIU training covering this issue and its agenda has been planned trying to provide the participants with an overview of environmental data management and application both at European and Italian level, and some insights on practical cases.

The other three courses which will be held in Italy in October will address the themes of "Low Carbon Economy", "Multilateral Environmental Agreements" and "Capacity Building on Sustainable Development", and the participants have been selected by the Shanghai Environmental Protection Bureau (SEPB), the Ministry of Environmental Protection (MEP) and the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) respectively.

For the SICP Chinese session to be held from October 17 to 21 in Beijing and Shanghai, the VIU co-organizes two training courses on "Capacity Building on Sustainable Development" and "Air Quality Monitoring Technologies and Practices" in collaboration with MOST and SEPB, and the opening days of the 2011-2012 academic year of training activities with the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
