12 April 2012

CleanEdgeThe 11th edition of the "Clean Energy Trends" report has been recently published by CLEAN EDGE.
This yearly report of the clean-energy economy contains a detailed analysis of the solar, wind and biofuels global markets. It also analyses the prices in the photovoltaic sector, public markets, and venture capital investments, identifying the future trends.

Among the themes which are expected to influence the next years' development of the energy sector, the report highlights Japan's choice to abandon nuclear power generation, the growing attention towards waste-to-resource investments and the availability of new energy storage solutions for a higher integration of renewable energies in the grid.

According to the research, clean energy sources will continue growing at high rate, also thanks to the competition between producers in Europe, the Americas and Asia.
Biofuels, wind and solar photovoltaics together totaled $188.1 billion in 2010, grew 31 percent to $246.1 billion in 2011, and are expected to reach $385.8 billion over the next decade.
