Non-CO2 GHGs Reduction to Slow Global Warming |
14 September 2011 |
Global warming can be mainly attributed to CO2 emitted into the atmosphere during fossil fuel combustion. However, there are other gases which substantially contribute to the greenhouse gas effect.
According to a new research by the US National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) published online in Nature, cutting the emission of these other non-CO2 gases could help to reduce the negative effects on the climate and slow down the increase in temperature expected in the future.
