The city of Venice will join the Notte Verde Nordest (Green Night), an event that will take place in North East Italy on May 5, 2012. From the afternoon to late at night meetings and events will be organized in twenty cities, to discuss projects and plans for the development of a green economy and a green society.

Workshops, musical and theatrical events, and markets for organic and 0Km products will enliven the cities and at the same time give the citizens the chance to be informed about the most recent technologies and experiences of clean energy, waste management, green mobility, eco-building, art and culture.

Among the other events, a conference on the future of the industrial area of Porto Marghera and on green industry will be organized in Mestre, which will see the participation of the Minister of the Environment Corrado Clini.
