| VIU_NDRC GHG Emission Inventory Compilation |
 In the fight against climate change the need of accurate reporting on the actual amount of greenhouse gases released in the atmosphere is increasingly necessary. Detailed knowledge of the GHGs emissions in the different countries worldwide is fundamental both in certifying the reductions already achieved and in planning future strategies.
Recognising the importance of this issue, the National Development and Reform Commission of China have decided to organize two courses on GHG Emission Inventory Compilation in cooperation with VIU this year. The 19 participants of the first course will start the didactic activities in Rome on July 11, and then move to Venice and Turin. During the course the Chinese delegates will have the chance to meet Italian experts and discuss the legislative, procedural and methodological aspects of the compilation of an emission inventory. A site visit to a cement factory will be arranged in order to present an industrial site which is directly subject to emission limits and which has advanced emission monitoring systems installed.
