The River Basin Management International Conference which will be held in Malta from September 7 to 9, 2009, is the fifth conference the Wessex Institute of Technology has been organizing on this issue since 2001. The meeting aims at communicating recent advances in the overall management of riverine systems, including advances in hydraulic and hydrological modelling, ecology, environmental management and flood forecasting, and at providing the ideal forum for practitioners and academia to discuss the experience of applying such tools to practical problems. This conference is designed to bring together engineers, environmental managers and academics in the field.
