The focus on Waste Management has become a regular feature in the courses organised in cooperation with the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. The interest in this specific topic highlights the importance that waste reduction, separate collection and waste disposal still have in China's environmental agenda. This year participants will be hosted in Italy from February 21 to March 7. During the course (see the agenda) they will be introduced to different advanced technologies for urban and hazardous waste treatment, and to the best policies for a sound separate collection with the aim of maximising the recyclable fraction and the re-use of materials." |
