Since the Chinese partners involved in the Sino-Italian Cooperation Program expressed a strong interest in the environmental monitoring issue, the VIU decided to devote the new issue of its publication to this very important topic.

Monitoring strategies, plans and tools for the air and water matrices are presented both by Chinese and Italian authors.
To analyze the topic in depth, air pollution sources management in Italy and biological tests for water monitoring are also included.
