The Province of Venice is one of the 7 province of the Veneto region. It has an area of 2,467 km², and a total population of 863,013 (2010).

The Environmental Policy department is in charge of:
• integrated environmental management of companies (water, air and soil);
• large industrial facilities (water, air and soil);
• environmental planning and education;
• pollution prevention and control.
