Site Visit Objectives:
To present an example of eco-building - how it is built and it functions - in order to underline the importance of and opportunities for energy efficiency in buildings.

Company Profile:
TiFS is an engineering company set up in 2001 that operates in the plant engineering sector with a high level of specialization and specific expertise in:
• HVAC systems (heating, ventilation and air conditioning).
• PFG systems (plumbing, firefighting), technical and medical gases.
• Electrical systems (lighting, power supply and distribution engineering, earthing systems, lightning protection).
• IT & Communication systems. Security systems.
• Fire prevention, alarms, safety, BMS systems.
• Renewable energies and energy saving. Photovoltaic system.
The company operates in the healthcare, office, retail, leisure, hotel, education, residential and industrial sectors.
Tifs building performance team is comprised of experts on matters such as building form to minimize energy consumption, solar shading, thermal performance of cladding systems, optimization of day lighting and modelling of artificial lighting solutions. The team works closely with sustainable development experts, providing continual input to the design process to ensure the buildings are efficient in terms of energy consumption and have minimum impact on the environment.
The common aspect of TiFS' projects is the constant search for innovative, environmentally-friendly solutions that also respect the global economy and security criteria.
