The lecture shows that the energy optimization of building-plant system starts from a correct architectural and plant design of the building. The opportunites of cogeneration, of a precise control of the operative conditions of the climatization machines, of the heat recovery and energy storage are then presented by referring to the experimental results of some real high efficiency building-plant systems existing in the Venetian area.
