To present an example of eco-building - how it is built and it functions - in order to underline the importance of and opportunities for energy efficiency in buildings.

COMPANY PROFILE
TiFS is an engineering company set up in 2001 that operates in the plant engineering sector with a high level of specialization and specific expertise in HVAC, public health, fire protection, electricity, communication, safety, security, lighting systems, etc.
Particular experience has been gained in the design of integrated plant for large public and private buildings (offices, airports, hospitals, universities, shopping centre, hotels, business/congress centre, etc.).
Experience of similar importance has been gained in the specific sectors of lighting for places of high historic and artistic content and acoustics for theatres, conference centres, etc..
General esteem has been gained in collaborating with constructors, suggesting solutions, innovations to standard production devices in accordance with specific requirements of different projects.
The common aspect of TiFS' projects is the constant search for innovative, environmentally-friendly solutions that also respect the global economy and security criteria.
Our action considers the assignment of a project an opportunity of research and widening, of development of new technological solutions, acquisition of new competence and knowledge.
In time when the architectural work is more and more like a technological structure, the integrated building-plant design becomes an essential introduction for a correct approach; to such aim TiFS promotes the development of methods, know-how and competences even in new sectors as day-lighting, acoustics, energy.
The company was set up in 2001 by the merger of Fellin Srl, Siper Srl and Studio Tecnoimpianti, consolidating their thirty years' design experience.
TiFS structure is organized in different divisions: electrical and lighting, mechanical and acoustical. A special group is involved in research and modelling.
The staff comprises actually about 75 employers; the turnover is about 6,0 mil. Euro.
In May 2004 the new seat has been inaugurated in Padova.
A 2200 squared metres building, innovative in architecture and installation, in a word a synthesis of TiFS projecting style.
TiFS obtained certification of its Quality System in accordance with ISO 9001 standard in 1999, prior to its merger.
At present TiFS is one of the most important engineering companies in Italy, highly esteemed all over the country, thanks to its over 30 years long experience and to the competence and know how of the staff.
