To present an example of private protected area and a sustainable system of fishery.

INSTITUTION PROFILE
Valle Figheri is a fishery farm of 15 sq.Km, within the lagoon of Venice, where eels, basses, gilthead breamares and grey mulles are present.
It is managed by a private owner according to a traditional system of fish farming.
The area is important also as protected area: it hosts different flora and fauna species, some of them are endemic and typical of the lagoon environment.
