Site Visit Objectives:

VEGA offers a good example of how a reclamation site can provide an opportunity for the economic and environmentally-sustainable re-development of an industrial area. VEGA is the first science and technology park in Italy to have achieved certifications of its integrated quality-environmental management system, recognised at an international level (ISO 9001 – ISO 14001).

VEGA, built over a former polluted industrial site after its remediation, is the City of Technology and Innovation for the Venice Municipality and the Veneto region.
